Professional Development at A.R.T./New York

Giving you the tools you need to thrive as a theatremaker

Opportunities for growth

A.R.T./New York is committed to being an active and responsive field leader, shaping conditions in which New York City’s theatre makers can thrive. By expanding both our live and on-demand content, we hope you can engage with our programming in ways that best support your practice. From live workshops, information sessions and conversations, multi-day forums, and one-on-one engagement to digital tools and content, A.R.T./New York shapes our program offerings around the needs of our theatremaking community — prioritizing relationships, increasing visibility across the field, and fostering meaningful connections among our members and partners.

First Fridays

We invite you to join us for First Fridays – where our members can engage in candid one-on-one conversations every first Friday of the month with A.R.T./New York leadership.

Share Outs & Shout Outs

These conversations feature the work being done by artists, organizations, and thought leaders we admire, connecting you with their knowledge, tools, and perspectives.

Trainings

We provide a variety of training opportunities that address the practical and cultural needs of our members to support the cultural and operational health of our work environments.
